I am anxious to see how many parents kept their kids home from school in District 60 today, and whether or not they will be punished if they did.

Giving this a try. I wonder how many stayed home. This must be for the lower grades, I dont remember bus service for high school.

About an extra 5% stayed home. It was a bust, then. This issue is so important, and carries so many implications for school districts around the area. It boils down to where you're going to allocate your precious resources: in food & transportation, or in educating kids. This has been brewing for a long, long time, and it's finally coming to a head, thank God. And kudos to Dr. Batiste for hanging tough and not knuckling under the pressure.
